Backyard Football in the Front Yard

Had a little friendly football match at Betty's house a couple of weeks ago with some friends from Nashville. We played hard for about 1.5 hours. I only took pictures for about 20 minutes before I decided I needed to put the camera down and get in the action. So, here are a few images from the game.

Making sure the quarterback and receiver are on the same page. As it turns out, they were not.

This one got picked-off.

The interceptor is tracked down and tagged

Peyton Manning eludes the rush and just gets the pass off before being dropped for a 12 yard loss.

It's a long walk back to receive the kick-off when you get scored on.

Turning on the jets and heading for the end zone.

Not sure who's in charge here.

At times, it got a bit rough.

But in the end, it was all fun and games.

I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry about these toughies you have! Are you sure Nick is only going on 9 and not 19?!!

Great pics of our annual fall football classic in the ole front yard. All things being the same, you could have done without tagging this lifelong Vandy fan as "Peyton Manning". Now a "Jay Cutler" moniker would have been much better received! Either way, I did have a quick-1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi-counting Nic breathing down my neck!! All great fun! Thanks for the post!

Sha,

The Peyton slight was intentional. :)
