Sarah's Field Day

Sarah had her year-end 1st grade field-day last Friday. One of the other parents commented how competitive Sarah was. It's true. She is quite the competitor on the softball field, the rollerskating rink and on the track. It was almost embarrassing the other week at a friend's roller skating birthday party when she crossed the finish line first in the 7 year-old race. Most kids had not yet rounded the corner on the first turn.

Don't worry, she is still knows how to have fun.

My All-Star

OK, I'll tell you like it is. Sarah is carrying this team. There, spoken like a proud dad.

We took a bike ride Saturday

and took a break along the way to play in the park. Sarah did great with her new gear bike and took on all of the big hills like a champ.

3rd Grade Field Trip to Planetarium

Put a dad as chaperon and this is the result. Total goofing off.

This is why...

Dad's should not be in charge of giving bubble baths to their kids. Or, maybe they should allowed every now and then....

Sarah and I had fun with the bubbles.

I got a new strobe for my camera. It's an Alienbee 800. I have not had a lot of time to practice with it yet, but here are a few of the kids. They were not as excited about the AB800.
